Alcest - Les Voyages de l'âme (2012)

Kayo Dot - Gamma Knife (2012)

Two good bands to christen in the new year.

Coincidentally I just downloaded this. I'm starting off from the begining, some of the most beautiful music I've heard. I've heard a couple tracks off the new album, what do you think of it Bob and Pete?

A bit darker approach then music has the right to children. Gets the brain working.

and

both are very unlike what I usually listen to. I downloaded them both as joke artists to shock people scrolling around on my iPod but I'm loving Manson's stuff, wish I could say the same for Tiny Tim.

Just downloaded the Alcest album, and will listen to it shortly. Also picked up the highly anticipated debut from "The Internet" (OFWGKTA) and I fully expect it to be garbage.

I mean, have you heard Cocaine? One of the biggest piles of crap I have ever listened to.

Edit: Just finished listening to it. It sounds like something I should like (apart from Cocaine which, as we know, is complete turd) but I just can't get into it. It's far too shallow and samey. Waste of internet download speed.

Grabbed vinyl copies of Panda Bear's Tomboy and Mastodon's Crack The Skye yesterday.
