****ed up funky pop that constantly surprises. Dark and edgy but easy on the ear. A great surprise.

Errors - New Relics.

Amazing Electro tinged epic Pop music from a band recently signed to Mogwai's new label. Mogwai without the guitars basically. Stunning.

Let me know how this is! I've never heard anything outside of his debut, but I've always really enjoyed it.

Also, I've got to get me that new Steve Wilson album. The title track is gorgeous.

It's funky as f*ck too.
Did you watch the Grammys tonight. Mavis was on stage during the Levon Helm tribute. She's still rockin' it out.

The Sadies - Favourite Colours (2004)
I just streamed this on Spotify at the recommendation of a friend on another forum. His recommendation came as a result of our shared love for The Byrds' classic albums, leaning toward the psych country. I found this very good, and a little bit more mellow than I expected from that recommendation. A few chill instrumentals reminded me of the self-titled album by Allah-Las last year, which was one of my favorite 60s psych-pop revival albums from that year. They incorporate some surf into their instrumentals, which is more subtle here. The album had a great flow and ended before I wanted it to. A couple of songs reminded me of Ween doing a parody of 60s psych/country pop, and one reminded me of a cowpunk Meat Puppets instrumental, but more mellow. Great stuff!

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Frightened Rabbit - Pedestrian Verse (2013)

I'm not warming up to it as quickly as I thought.

Hehe. Well, to me Yes are extremely proficient at their instruments, vocalist has an angelic voice, and the songs are carefully constructed. While Bob Dylan is average at his instruments, has a voice that only a mother (and for some reason, us devoted fans) can love, and performs his songs in whatever style he wants, depending on the mood he's in. Which is why I look at them as opposites. And yet I love them both.

If you enjoyed that you will want to check out their 2010 album Darker Circles.
