I don't have much of an opinion on them, as I don't have much by Jessamine besides this and a split with FSA. I'm definitely going to add "Long Arm of Coincidence" to my download queue. Were they part of the budding Bristol post-rock scene as well?

The Chameleons - Strange Times

Arrived today. Not my favourite of theirs but I already have Script of the Bridge on CD. Still, an amazing album.

They were an American band from Seattle and they were one of the earlier bands on Kranky. Their s/t debut is good as well although not as experimental as Long Arm of Coincidence.

Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante

Just got my favourite Bungle record on some 180 gram vinyl. This is the stuff of dreams, my friend.

Matt Elliott - Only Myocardial Infarction Can Break Your Heart (2013)

Beautifully depressing folk music. Whoda thunk the last album I grab this year would turn into my favourite.

I used to be in a band that was named after that album.

No, not all. We were sort of post-punk-ish. I should also add that the name actually came from two sources: that album, which I was a fan of, and name of the ship in the James Bond movie Thunderball, which the drummer was a fan of.

Dig Deep - The Motet

I thought I'd take a break from all the metal and industrial I listen to, so I thought I'd dig into a bit of funk. These guys aren't basically funk. They have a lot of funk elements mixed with jazz, some interesting piano work, ambiance and jamming. All in all, I really like this album, it's fantastic.
