Heartwork - Carcass

Well it's overdue time since I gave these guys a listen and since Mojo mentioned their upcoming concert in Sydney, decided to give this album a crack. Some really really great hard metal. Don't know why it took me this long to give them a listen.
Was this your first Carcass album?

Yep, haven't listened to anything prior. Will probably check out Swansong later.

If you enjoyed that particular style then yeah Swansong and Heartwork are right up your alley. You might also want to check out Wolverine Blues by Entombed, which came out around the same time and was similar in a lot of ways.

Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die (1996)

My first introduction to Tortoise, was at the 1996 Reading Festival. I bought this album soon after being blown away by their live performance there. This album is probably my favorite of theirs and is one I've returned to quite often over the years. Instrumental post-rock at its finest!

The Menzingers - Rented World

I'm not expecting it to live up to On The Impossible Past, but I'm still expecting it to be really good.
