The UV Race - The UV Race (2009)
Just played this twice because it's only 24 minutes long. I think I like their follow-up Homo better, but it's pretty decent garage punk. The Australian band shares members with Total Control and Dick Diver.

The Unsemble - The Unsemble (2014)
Members consist of Alexander Hacke from Einstürzende Neubauten, Brian Kotzur who has played with Silver Jews, and Duane Denison of The Jesus Lizard and Tomahawk (who also briefly played with Silver Jews). It doesn't sound industrial like Einstürzende Neubauten, I'd put it closer to Tomahawk in style, but more experimental and atmospheric in parts, sans vocals. Pretty cool.

Iceage, Plowing Into the Field of Love

Just finished this. Went in with no expectations, but I was definitely not expecting midtempo folk and piano ballads from this Scandanavian punk band. I enjoyed it, and though it was arguably a step away from the violent music of their past albums, I don't feel that it lessens in darkness or rage- though this time the feelings may be a bit more internal.

Andy Stott, Faith in Strangers

Minimalist techno. Sub-sub-bass. Ambient dubstep. Evil robots meditating in the woods. Whatever this is, however you want to classify it, it's cool. Maybe not something I want to listen to constantly, and definitely not my favorite "ambientish" record by any measure, but cool.

Clark, Clark

Chris Clark at it again with his particular brand of screwed up, psychedelic IDM. I don't have much to say about it, but it's good.

I'm not as into hip hop as other genres, but I do have my little stints here and there, mainly well known and critically acclaimed artists, so it's not my forte. I didn't listen to GKMC, so I told myself I couldn't pass this up. Liking this a lot so far, especially the jazz and funk influences on it.

I see a lot of people giving people green to hip hop a lot, and I mean a lot of **** for liking this album. What's that all about? I thought IDM fans were hostile as fuck, but jeez there are some really pissed off hip-hop fans out there on the internet.
