What's this all about? I saw the track list and the first two are from Ancient Melodies, but are the other 2 live covers or what?

(BTW I quoted your post and saw you had an image from RYM...those never show up unless you use the code they provide when you click on the album cover)

I'm not what it was released for but it's a promo EP (so maybe record stores or shows?) and and yep, the last two are live covers.

I'll try not linking from RYM from now on if that happens but I just tried quoting my post and everything came up fine?

Jan Boleslav Kladivo - Naha, courtesy of Bulldogg. Top stuff!

Glad you like it. Quite a bizarre little album eh. Definitely the kinda thing that deserves to better known as well.

Good call with Crocodiles as well. I don't listen to it an awful lot, which is weird as I know it's a a more than good enough album.

i disagree. Nick Cave might have mellowed out towards the latter half of his career but the first part with the Birthday Party was just as excellent. Junkyard & Prayers on Fire can contend with any of the material he's put out since then. it might be more challenging but it's just as rich and rewarding a sonic experience as his latter works with the Bad Seeds.

Agreed. If anyone's wondering though, don't go further back than the Birthday Party with Nick Cave and wind up with the Boys Next Door album, because it sucks.

Oh, and Henry's Dream is probably my favourite of his 90s albums (close call with Murder Ballads and Let Love In though) - not a wasted note on it.

That's because the image is in your browser's cache. It's pretty simple to use their images really, just click the album cover from the album page, and below it will be 2 code options...copy the BBCode and paste it here. Really they just want links back to the site, and have blocked the hotlinking of images unless they link back to the site. I used to use them all the time on another site, I just hate that they are so small.

All the singles are great, I'm so down for this. They are a duo apparently, by the way.

Funnily enough, I saw a copy of that in a mate's (Alex's) car over sometime over the summer. I used to think he had a shit taste in music - maybe I've underestimated him :D
