Modest Mouse - Strangers to Ourselves

Fun fact: This album cover comes from the city I live in.
Fun fact 2: I'm loving this record a lot more than I was expecting to.

I feel at peace with the new elements. I really enjoy the style they got going on here. I do have a deeper love for the old stripped down era of Modest Mouse, but I consider this a great evolution nonetheless. Gonna be a favorite of 2015 for me no doubt.

Pinkshinyultrablast - Everything Else Matters (2015)
I remember listening to their EP Happy Songs for Happy Zombies a few years back and I thought it was okay. I was surprised to see that they had released a full-length album six years after that EP and I'm even more surprised by how good this sounds. In fact this album sounds amazing. I'm glad there's still bands out there like these guys and A Sunny Day in Glasgow keeping dream pop interesting.

Some of us aren't very internet savvy and are also terrified of viruses.

But **** me I couldn't wait so I found it and got it. Listening now. Will probably come back crying later to talk about it.

With the amount of spywear and DRM crap some companies stick in their official downloads I wouldn't be surprised the pirated versions turned out to be a lot safer.
