Caballero Reynaldo - In The Lounge Of The Naldo King

Twelve King Crimson songs in lounge/bossa/exótica passed through the Reynaldo
filter while watching the spring sun with a good vermouth in hand.

^ That album has convinced me that if Prince hadn't become a pop megastar that he could have been a very influential blues and jazz pianist and singer.

She went kinda adult contemporary during the 90's, so I'm tempering my expectations here. I'm aware that I probably already own all of the best albums, but hopefully, those obscure 90's albums also hide some really good songs. Her discography is mostly not even on Spotify, so tracking them down feels like charting unknown territory.

Happy Rhodes - The Keep

I really like the album cover. Fingers crossed that the music can match in terms of atmosphere. This is one of several Rhodes albums that are also not on Spotify.

Case/Lang/Veirs

Joint album by Neko Case, KD Lang and Laura Veirs. With that lineup of artists, I'm expecting folk music with a touch of alt-country. Haven't heard a single second in advance. I like to go in "blind" as much as possible to make things more exciting.

Neko Case - The Virginian

I think 66Sexy would approve.

I'm very late to the party here, but I was waiting to receive the album in the mail before I could have an opinion on it. It arrived a couple days ago and I gave it a full listen yesterday. Now, I have only listened to it once, but I paid full attention the whole way through.

Basically, I thought it was amazing. Their voices do indeed sound great together and personally I thought the songwriting was very good and for a handful tracks, even perfect. The music is varied and has a lot of really vibrant, atmospheric and beautiful instrumentation going on. A++ for the production quality as well. I really, really liked it. Gonna listen to it some more when I have time later today, but I am more than pleased with it so far.

A couple of the five or six songs that stood out as being especially amazing to me:

I think the last full album I got was "Human Clay" by Creed, when it first came out. Since then, I've only downloaded individual songs.

So you're not really into listening to full albums? I personally really love the full album experience. I also listen to playlists of selected songs, but mostly entire albums front to back.
