I've seen a lot of music lovers (not necessarily here, mind you, I haven't been here long enough to tell) call songs bad, say they hate albums, etc, whereas I really honestly find enjoyment in almost everything.

Sure I have things I don't like, but I don't necessarily consider them bad and can usually find some enjoyment from them.

I haven't been around many serious music listeners, so I don't know how unpopular this is, but it seems relatively so.

I think DJ splash is trash

Im not a fan of Jay-Z or Nas

Speaking of that Even though Nas won the beef Takeover is far Superior to Ether

also even with nas being a legend i think his discography is horrible

I dont like kendrick lamar or J cole OR Joey badass due to their voices

i think skrillex is a cool person but personally i dont like his music

I LOVED THE LATEST KNIFE PARTY ALBUM

i did not like big krit's cadillatica

Yeezus is good.

I think Tyler the creator is the best member in odd future THEN earl

It's ok to take a stand sometimes. don't say ideal things at the expense of being dishonest.

You said yourself you don't like some music, by your standards that kinda music is bad YET you rather be super open minded guy and restrict verbalizing said opinion to not offend other ppl's taste.

Call it bad or good, take a stand.
Don't be afraid to say what you love or hate cause those kinda details define your personality.

The worst music in my opinion isn't bad music.
It's music that's totally bland and unmemorable which is the worst.

At least when you hear something bad it causes a reaction. How else would I remember this song from almost 18 years ago otherwise.

(I think this maybe the 10th time I've posted this video since I've been a member and every single time there's always someone here to revel in it's awfulness for the first time)

I also find enjoyment in almost everything. It's extremely rare for me to listen to something I dislike, so there you go.

The distinction, of course, is that saying in black or white terms whether or not something is "good" or "bad" sounds more definitive and hardline than simply saying "I don't like this". It's easier to hedge on simply "liking" something because you're not necessarily as expected to back up your tastes. When you make an unequivocal judgment of quality, you're saying others should care about that judgment, and not everyone's comfortable doing that.

That being said, this is a forum for talking about music. Making judgments on taste is kind of a key part of the community experience.

I get that and that's why you pick your battles, ya know?

there are some bands i don't like but give props to them cause i recognise they are fine musicians (Led Zeppelin came to mind) but there are others bands i'll gladly drag to the mud cause i just f*ckin hate them.

Nickelback, Creed, Linkin park, Simple plan, i dislike these bands so much i can't even muster enough optimism to say they're alright.
