Ouch. I still have my copy of that CD that I bought as a kid. Hybrid Theory as well.

My main problem with them is Mike Shinoda.
he's one of the most generic white rappers ive ever heard.

The lead vocalist is awful also. And they stole a riff from the Misfits which is just straight out sacrilege. That band makes me want to punch several walls.

Keep in mind I've never really enjoyed them after Meteora. But I always felt that Shinoda added something good and different to the band. Back when Meteora and Hybrid were big, a lot of people enjoyed the "rap rock" concept that they went with. Though as time went by, I think the opinion of them started to move more towards negative especially with the change in sound they went with.

I'm defending LP on this forum. I hope I don't get beat up.

Yea but bands like Rage against the Machine and The Deftones were still around at the time.

To me all Linkin Park did was glamorize the superficiality of the genre not its depth

^its unfortunate for me because I didn't find out about Rage or Deftones until years later. Linkin Park was already cemented in my brain at that point.

Which riff?
I don't even wanna bother looking for it. The song it was stolen from was I Turned Into A Martian.

I finally got into Orthrelm's "OV". I've known it for years, but never closely listened. It's great.
Don't know whether it's an unpopular opinion, but a lot of people do seem to hate that album.
