**** that. Christina has like, one or two singles an album that are worth listening to, while the rest is generally just boring, pointless songs where she tries to justify herself as a "serious" singer.

Britney might not be a good singer... or anything else for that matter, but at least her music is consistently listenable. I haven't heard one Christina album I'd want to listen to all the way through, but Britney's really only released one honest-to-god dud.

If we're talking about fap-worthiness though, then Christina all the way. But that's not really an unpopular opinion.

Again, Christina only ever has a few singles, but nothing else of note to anyone who actually buys the album. If you're the type to buy either one of their albums, you're going to get much more from a Britney album. And even when she was melting down, she still released the best album of her career.

I see it kind of like a death metal equivalent of Captain Beefheart in the way that it's like a Rorschach test of melody where it's so dense and seemingly dissonant but those elements fade away on subsequent listens.

YD did you listen to those tracks yet? Might turn your opinion around, or maybe not. I feel like it's pretty convincing.

Unpopular opinion: if Jeff Beck was in Led Zeppelin they would be even more unstoppable than they were with John Paul Jones and they wouldn't have all the dull moments either.
