I was diagnosed INTJ in school, but now (at the age of 41) I'm ESFP. I wonder if it's because I'm older or because I was always frontin' in college.

I've also worked my way through the audiophile 12 step program. I no longer hold fast to the claim that vinyl is a superior format, nor that tubes are a superior method of amplification. Also, Eno's collaborative efforts are better than any of his solo works.

But Another Green World, Taking Tiger Mountain, Here Come the Warm Jets, Before and After Science, and his ton of ambient stuff are all superb. Obviously his collaborations are too. I think he might have the best discography of any artist, period.

Absolutely. I think B&AS is his strongest solo record, and Discreet and A1:MfA are historical milestones of the ambient genre. And I agree that the majority of his 70+ LP discography are better than the best works by most other artists.

I just personally prefer Bush of Ghosts, After the Heat, Plateaux of Mirror, Apollo, The Pearl, and most of his other collaborative efforts. (The Eno | Hyde LPs as well, but primarily because they are two of my greatest musical heroes.)

EDIT: (No Pussyfooting) & Evening Star are by far my favorites. The Equatorial Stars is fantastic as well. Thank, Plainview for correcting me!

Holy **** - I typed too hastily - those are my two favorites and are in my all-time top 20 favorite LPS.

The whole bit about John Peel playing it backwards and Eno phoning up the station and being dismissed as a prank call... and the deluxe edition featuring multiple playback speeds both forwards and backwards...

The album is outstanding at any speed or direction.

I was also delighted when they released The Equatorial Stars on vinyl in 2014.

Vampire Weekend is overrated and music publications are making entirely too big a deal of one member's departure.

I feel like I should use this thread as my ranting platform when I get sick of hearing/seeing headlines about artists I don't care for.

Yes. They're good but people make entirely too big of a deal about them.
