This isn't a popularity contest, we all know how goddamned popular the Beatles were but's irrelevent.

I never mentioned popularity once. You are claiming they are better than the most influential band of the 20th century , i'm asking you to explain how this is so.

Come on now i've only asked you this 8 times now and you've still not answered this.

You have a point there. But they certainly have material that qualifies as such. Especially on their s/t.

Uh.......

They are.

Saying that one novelty song is better than RATMs whole discography is pretty harsh. And in this case incorrect.

ProggyMan 05-11-2008 07:03 PM

I don't like RATM much, so not really.

KeithMoon2112 05-11-2008 07:47 PM

I'm pretty sure the picture of the pillowfight ended this argument 13 pages ago. Any band having a pillowfight can clearly NOT be lame (and for the record, that's the "unemotional" lame).

I think that as long as someone is honest about what they like, it doesn't really freaking matter what I or anyone else thinks.

But then, where would we be without relentless bitching?

boo boo 05-11-2008 08:59 PM

If some people weren't so eager to troll after someone expresses an opinion like for example.

"I like this band"

"That band sucks, its a fact I'm being objective"

Then music banter would be overall a music better environment for music discussion. Granted the ocassional troll does keep it interesting and gives you something to do.

Seltzer 05-11-2008 09:54 PM

Oomph's trolling is getting boring now. He continually evades the arguments of others (including myself and Urban), and he clearly hasn't heard any Beatles material outside their poppy stuff.

ProggyMan 05-11-2008 09:57 PM

Yah, he didn't respond to my last post, even though he made several responses to others and I called him out on it.
