So Real was Jeff's best song by far imo.

Tim made some great music, but as a dad myself I can't help thinking what a f***wit. Jeff met him only once his whole life, Tim preferring to sit around doing heroin. Not surprising Jeff's life was so short.

Yah, pretty much this. Tim was a prick dad in hindsight.

No I haven't. I've been given morphine in hospital a couple of times as a pain killer when I've had pylonephritis.

I've seen Leonard Cohen do live version of Avalanche on YT, and I wasn't impressed enough by it to look for more of his music and I skipped him all together. I hate to be the wet blanket in a conversation about Leonard Cohen. It's just that my interest in music lie elsewhere. There are a bunch of other artist too that are a must-listen-to for music collector/avid music fan that don't impress me.

When they mentioned on the news recently that Cohen wrote the Hallelujah song everyone covered, I couldn't even think of it. The only Hallelujah song I could think of that a bunch of artists covered was "Hallelujah I Love Her So" by Ray Charles. My favorite cover being Eddie Cochran's version. imo Hallelujah I Love Her So by Ray Charles >>> Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.

Ray Charles-Hallelujah I Love Her So

Eddie Cochran - Hallelujah I Love Her So

That's too bad. I think "Avalache" is one best songs actually.
