How about Jeff Sipe?

He is basically doing a drum roll around the kit, occasionally switching from snare to toms. Elvin employed polyrhtyms. It's an apples to orange comparison.

Geoff Tate is genuinely a good bloke at heart.

One time I was getting ready to go speed dating (this is a true story by the way). I was nervous. Feeling low on self esteem and probably drinking too much at the bar beforehand (premium lager). Anyway I was nervous...and then Geoff Tate walked in and I asked him.

"Geoff, what do you do when you go speed dating?" and he said

"I raise my head and stare - into the EYES OF A STRANGER!"

and I said "yeah fair point there, Geoff."

...I'll never forget that moment.

I decided to give the new Dillinger Escape Plan album a chance.
The first song was pretty awesome. But then, with the second song, faggy alternative metal bullshit emerged and I lost all interest.

Well if you aren't into ***gy alt metal bull**** you should be listening to their earliest stuff. If I remember correctly, their EP with Mike Patton would be especially up your alley.

I hate Mike Patton

I even hate how he looks

I would love it if Scott Walker recorded the sound of smashing his stupid looking face in with a sledgehammer

It's like a litmus test

If you like him you have **** taste and no understanding

He's like the fake tits of music

**** him

Well I'm not really a huge fan of his stuff because I haven't listened to much, but his EP with Dillinger is decent so there's that.

I've been a huge fan of the band about ten years ago and know all the older stuff.
That EP is kinda cool, but not exactly mind blowing.

Does he have a reputation as a dick or something?

I can see not liking him, he can come off as obnoxious. But Scott Walker? You actually think that guy is a superior singer? He ruins his own music. You just failed your own litmus test.

Mike Patton has done some cool stuff with Zorn.
I don't care at all for Faith No More and Tomahawk and Mr. Bungle and Fantomas are fine, but severely overrated.
