Great video, thanks for sharing, a lot of classic video game music especially the work of Koji Kondo is heavily influenced by Jazz so video game tunes becoming Jazz standards isn't as silly as it sounds.

Also that cover of Can You Feel the Sunshine? from Sonic R goes hard.

I find most popular videogame music is basically just good reading music. Something driving enough that doesn't pull from your focus. I imagine the zoomer z generation throws it on when their on their cellular phones.

Keiichi Suzuki's Earthbound soundtrack is something else though (even if their solo albums are way better).
