Yes and with any band that popular comes backlash, it's pretty trendy to hate The Beatles nowadays too for the same reason.

Then again my perspective might be skewed from spending too much time on RYM which is full of obnoxious zoomers that hate everything that isn't hip hop and video game music.

Nah there's no objective parameter for songwriting. Unless there's some glaring flaw in the production or whatever, if you hear a song and think it sucks, the songwriting sucks. You don't need to help the fogeys fellate themselves with the things you "can't deny", their mouths are already taking care of it.

I thought I was just an old man thinking about shouting at a cloud. I know everyone says this but the Zoomers are such a throw away generation. The music, the fashion, the total lack of sexual intercourse. I don't get why anyone gives them the time of day.

I wouldn't go that far, I know I'm old and out of touch and I can't really speak for what they're experiencing right now, I know they're very cynical because of how awful everything is right now which is how I felt as a teenager and it's still how I feel even as I'm approaching my 40s so at least that feeling of jadedness I can understand.

With that being said zoomers are still incredibly f*cking annoying.

It's funny you say this because I was actually having this conversation with my coworker. I work in retail so I deal with a lot of zoomers and most of them if not all are completely useless. I had a guy come in one time to mail a letter and I told him he had to fill out the envelope before i can send it. So he hands me the envelope and his address was on the bottom of the back side and the to address was in the top right corner of the front side.

They also all drive teslas somehow for some reason
