Strongly agree with this.

Don't know enough about them to really say... I like what I have heard, I must admit...

Joy Division are the dogs bollocks. What is wrong with you people?!

To be fair, a lot of people are put off by the vocals and their sound has been plagarised so much that new listeners may not find them conducive.

Nothing to do with my opinion though, I think they are brilliant but I can see why some people may not like them.

Well, I can see why people wouldn't like them. I can see why people wouldn't like any band though, whether it's Nirvana because of the overplayed/hype aspect or whether it's vocals. Music is subjective like that, but a band like Joy Division to find them 'boring' I don't fully understand, but then again I absolutely adore Unknown Pleasures. So I find it harder to be less biased and see any faults with them. I think Ian was brilliant. I think the sound of his voice on the records were more due to production, I remember listening to the John Peels sessions on a CD I have and they sounded.. different. But that might just be me.

I think the Peel Sessions were some of the best things they ever did. Oddly enough both Sumner and Hooky think that Unknown Pleasures 'wasn't all that' and almost dislike the album!

Absolute outrage. Unknown Pleasures is in my top 10 favourite albums, possibly top 5. How can people dislike it? :(
