And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that.

Oho, man, I actually like Audioslave. I really liked their first CD. The newer stuff I'm not a big fan of, but I believe Rage was way better. I don't see how anyone could dislike Audioslave, they're all great musicians, especially Chris Cornell. Rage, though, to me, was more like a group of guys on a mission to spread their ideas. They just happened to be in a band, and used the music in a very powerful way to get their message across.

Let's see here:
Blondie might be the best punk band ever
Black Sabbath=way overrated
The Beatles were like NSync when they came out

Audioslave is more just a collection of talented musicians churning out very adept and skilled music, but it's just not inspired like Rage was. If they were from the UK they'd probably advertise them using phrases like 'real music' or some rubbish like that. Meaning, their music appeals on a musical level but not really on any other level.

Audioslave have recently made some of the blandest rock I've ever heard. Apart from their S/T, which I believe was a very good album, their last two were dreary and dull with no inspiration whatsoever. There was no edge or anything, and the music was non existent, it was just a distant backdrop to Chris Cornells overpoweringly tedious vocals.

Disturbed's newer stuff is better than their older stuff.

Out of the Races and Onto the Tracks is The Rapture's best release.
