No generally speaking it's ambient music using Rock instrumentation instead of Electronic instrumentation. At least that's what the scene is today. Nothing to do with Indie fans etc

It's chilled music for those too scared to listen to Jazz, Balearic or Krautrock etc

Since we are throwing terms around, why don't we just call everything progressive rock. That way we would not be using terms retroactively, but progressively.

What in the f*ck is Balearic?

Anyway what are your opinions on Sigur Ros and Godspeed? I think lumping them into this category among all the dull droning muzak bands like El Ten Eleven is a little unfair.

I say that word all the time in fact it's my most used word, I say it ten times every morning before I eat my cap'n crunch for breakfast.

I've used that word so much on DDD that everyone there uses it as a term of endearment now.

I've used it so much that I dont even think of it as an insult anymore. It's just a technical term for kids who predominately listen to indie music, that's all.

I have nothing against homosexuals. And PC nazis can f*ck off, it's a word. I use fag to describe people who are c*nts I don't use it to imply homosexuality and no I don't think that even using the word with a different intended meaning is hurting homosexuals. Hell I see butt pirates use the word as a term of endearment all the time, in the same way black people like to say nigga. So please, enough of that pretentious bullsh*t.
