I've listened to them a few times because of how much hype they get, and it just doesn't click with me in the slightest. It doesn't help that something about Thom Yorke's vocals irks me.

Its like anything really, people hype up something to be so fantastic and when you finally get to hear it, it can often disappoint.

Yes, good thing the tape machine didn't fall. Good thing the gramophone didn't fall as well.

Well of course they're not going to appeal to everyone, it's just not possible for any band or artist to do that. I guess Thom Yorke's vocals are kind of like marmite, you either love them or you don't, I love his vocals because they are unique and contain so much emotion and a sense of alienation that you don't get with other vocalists.

that probably has something to do with it. Most friends of mine who listen to radiohead are like "how can you NOT like them? They're so amazing!" it gets tiresome.
