She's in the Guinness Book of World Records for her vocal range. She has 12 RIAA certified platinum albums and 2 diamond albums.

Point being a whole lotta people worldwide like her songs and have for almost 30 years. So in the grand scheme of things the fact that a few of you folks here think she's a bad singer with bad songs is, and of course your entitled opinion, kinda dumb.

I find her unlistenable and awful. But my opinion is dumb just because she's popular?

People like bad music in droves.

As far as the cubism thing goes yes I can only decide for myself that it's bad. That's true.

Everyone else in the world can love Mariah Carey. I still KNOW she sucks.

What is dumb is that saying because you don't like a song it automatically makes the singer bad.

Their vocal abilities? The quality of their voice? Their control of dynamics? Their ability to emote?

Carey has released over a hundred songs. Have you heard them all? Have you heard her entire unplugged performance? What are you basing your "she sucks" opinion on? A few things you've heard on the radio?
