So they're worth seeing live. I don't know if that's always the case, so it's possible I got lucky with that Dokken concert.

Well, there are two kind of Glam, from LA in the 80s and UK in the 70s.
And however you classify Quiet Riot (as Metal or Hard Rock), they did a cover of Glam song from '73. fyi Quiet Riot (especially w/Randy Rhoads) is better than all 80s Hair Metal band combined *periord*

Well, isn't the term AOR also pretty closely linked to sort of "safe" rock of a certain type? Usually, I've seen it used as a derogatory term. And since we were talking about glam in the context of Mötley Crüe, W.A.S.P. and the like, I find it safe to assume that's what he was referring to.

So let's say that I get exactly what he meant. Whether that's "nailing it" or not, I won't make any more of an elaborate defence of that.
