Elph is probably talking about Tinariwen, Mdou Moctar, Bombino, ect....

Or, you know, he has no idea what he's talking about. That's always a possibility.

I was gonna give him the benefit of the doubt before telling him that tishoumaren is African lol. If it is what he's talking about, then he's about five years late to the party anyways.

The Mdou Moctar album last year was pretty neat.

Ja it's great, definitely trying to be more virtuosic than ever. Afelan's my favourite though, it's got great songwriting that I think he was sitting on for a while before he released it.
