You're the one who said you like them.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Considering she recently one four Grammy awards, my dislike of Billie Eilish's music should count as an unpopular music opinion. I'm not going to be mean about it. Musical artists just tend to lose me when they stop being tuneful. Couple that with quiet, unsettled, introspective lyrics (in other words, songs that never seem to let any little light through)* and I simply can't seem to get into Eilish's style. Sorry Grammys.

*Which, I will admit, may very well not be true of her entire discography. But I tried quite a few songs (including most of those on her celebrated When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?) and I'm running with this as the trend.

I prefer Hagar over Roth. I prefer Channing over Grohl, but that's just me.

The name Khruangbin turns up in the World music section periodically. Nice looking girl, guitar instrumentals channeling various genres including Thai music: there's lots of reasons why I should like them, and yet I always end up feeling as bored by their music as their own drummer appears to be at 1:30 in:-

Spot-on and definitely not an unpopular opinion in my book.

The first time I saw and heard them I got bored and lost interest after about 15 minutes.

I think the only reason I stuck with them that long was because I'm a sucker for pretty women with long, straight, black hair with a fringe.

Yep that's about how I felt when I listened to their latest. What a waste of a good album cover.

Thanks guys! It's good to know that you came to the same conclusion about this band. You have given me the assurance to cross Khruangbin off that list we all carry around in our heads: Bands I Really Should Check Out One Day.

I thought Texas Sun was a decent track. Maybe Leon Bridges was doing the heavy lifting.
