Vetiver, if you get 'music is just about pop and rock' from that post you're the one who reaches

No one is coming after you. You just expressed an opinion that many people disagree with because it is in fact unpopular

Please stop gaslighting. Rock and pop are the only genres focused on in that post.

I was making the point that I used to limit myself to one genre of music and I used pop music as an example of something I was once very dismissive towards for shallow reasons until I lightened up. I was suggesting that maybe you do the same and stop looking at your taste in music as a measure of your intelligence. Art should be enjoyed not used as a tool to stoke your own ego and make yourself feel smart.

Mentioning other genres of music would have muddied up the point. I'm not trying to impress you dude.

Everything else that you’ve mentioned is either projection or a display of your own insecurities. That’s not my problem.

I’ve immersed myself in all genres of music possible and have, over the years, refined my music tastes. It’s as simple as that.

I don’t bother with modern pop music because it does nothing for me – this has nothing to do with wanting to be a hipster. Some people genuinely have no interest in it. Why it that so hard for you to believe, eh?

You can continue with your silly claims about me but all it proves is that you’re the one with issues. I’ve tried to explain myself as clearly as possible but you obviously have no interest in trying to understand.
