Haven't listened to enough MM to comment on him but agreed.

not really following this logic here...

HttT was more of a return to the guitar based form the band was BEFORE KidA and Amnesiac (which IMO are two decent albums that should have been a single great release with an excellent b-sides ep on the side not unlike the Airbag ep for OK Computer).

i can totally see why someone who dug on the more experimental electronic sounds and songwriting styles of KidA and Amnesiac would be turned off by HttT as it seems to be a throwback rather than a progression.

I dunno if it really was a throwback as such, alot of the themes and the feel of the album was intended as a massive political statement at a time of fairly marked global turmoil, and to me the sound was miles and miles away from anything prior to Kid A / Amnesiac... it shared more in common with OK Computer i guess, but it's definitely not the same - the guitar parts and the electronic parts are a little more distilled from each other.

Distinctive =! good

The guy from Jaguar Love and Blood Brothers has a very distinctive voice... it's also a headache to listen to.

It's like a crappy imitation of The Darkness.
