I don't know why D'arcy didn't get to do the bass parts on Siamese Dream, it's not like the bass parts are significantly more complex than anything she's done before or since. It's not like when Gilmour had to play something that was too complex for Waters to play.

D'arcy claims it's because Corgan wanted to do fewer takes.

Yeah, Billy could do it in fewer takes. I believe Billy recorded guitar too. Poor James and D'arcy.

Yes, I know to do that. I was doing it the quick way to demonstrate what lazy people could do as a bare minimum.
