I don't have a problem with industrial... it's actually kinda cool IMO... :-)

Me too! If anyone has any pointers as to what to download / buy, I'd be happy to receive!

industrial electronic music like coil is pretty cool.

the only industrial genre i don't like is industrial rock. it's like a constant tug of war between techno synths and heavy guitar lines.

The whole sub-genre of industrial is a bit dizzying, especially for someone like me who has no idea where to look. My knowledge of industrial extends to early NIN, KMFDM and Ministry. I've heard of stuff but never bothered to check it out.

It also seems like there's no agreement between what to call these genres, either. That sound BOC describes seems to me like what I've heard called "post-industrial", though I've yet to hear particularly heavy guitar in my listens there.

Industrial rock is good when it's done well, but I'm fairly indifferent to most of it.
The original industrial rock could be called post-industrial....I'm not sure about the modern stuff.

Metalcore is a great genre. Too bad most of the 'popular' bands are awful
