I like pantera, being from Dallas, I almost have to like the. But They are overrated, especially by people around here. I think it's ridiculous that people I've spoken to think pantera is so much better than Metallica. I admit, metallicas last handful of albums haven't been good, but those first few were really great . Pantera could not match the complex songwriting of metallica. Their songs had so many layers, classical influence, great tempo changes. Pantera just doesn't have anything that has impressed me like early Metallica.

Complexity isn't everything you know. If I just want to listen to some metal to give me a real good vibe I'll put on Pantera. I have to be in the mood for Metallica usually. FTW I'd sooner listen to Pantera than Metallica.

WTH?! I'm starting to think this place needs an attitude adjustment. If you disagree with a statement, explain, don't just laugh.

People usually explain stuff to you on here, but its in one ear and out the other. Smileys seem to get the message across more effectively.

I think Tom Tom Club are vastly underrated. Their music puts me in such a great mood.

Oh, I remember Roxette! They *were* very popular in the late '80s, early '90s. I remember hearing them on the radio a lot. I didn't realize they are still touring. That's great that they're still performing.

I just checked out one of their new songs from the album "Traveling" to hear how their sound has changed. I think they've effectively modernized their sound to stay up with the times by adding a little grit to their pop:

Roxette - "It's Possible"
A fun little song! I like it more than the ones they made 20 years ago.

Many women who like 80s music feel the same way.

they weren't that good, besides a few singles

and they didn't write their own material - they were "manufactured"

Per Gessle of Roxette wrote most of their stuff
