"The Gunner's Dream" is the highlight of The Final Cut. A rare shine of vocal prowess in the late Roger Waters career.

"Not Now John" is deadly average, really boring considering it's the loudest song on the album.

compared to the rest of the world Canadian music, until very recently, has always been criminally underrated. then again it comes from having a major national inferiority complex. the self depreciation is a vicious thing for our pop culture, and the legislation of culture through the CANCON laws also don't really serve any legitimate benefit to the development of our musical identity either.

there's a reason the vast majority of popular canadian music sounds either like they looked at last week's charts and said 'we can redo the top10 better no problem' or incredibly stagnant.

Overrated - Wilco, The Who, King Crimson, Belle and Sebastian, Elliott Smith

Underrated(these bands should be considered one of the best in their genres and time periods) - Violent Femmes, The Replacements, Townes Van Zandt, And though lots of hipsters like them, I feel it's not enough: Public Image Ltd. I can't stress PiL enough. Also Crass are underrated.

^well done, you just called 3 of my favourite artists overrated I hate you.
And The Replacements are most definately not underrated. Their albums are always rated higher than they deserve, Sure they were good but they really shouldn't be rated so highly.
