Beach Slang | The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us

Late to this party. I shrugged this album off at first because it felt a little too "bro" to me (same reason I did not like Japandroids second record, at all). But I'm coming around to it. I think? There's still something inside me that says these songs suck. Besides the opening track, the rest sort of feels mediocre. I think. I'm totally in between loving and hating this shit.

Joyce Manor - Never Hungover Again

Pop-punk obviously (and should) get(s) a bad rep, but I find this 19 minute record pretty serviceable. The opening track I play at least three times back to back before I decide to listen to the whole thing.

This is the type of unfiltered, raw uber-American hardcore punk I grew up with during my formative appreciation of music years. I don't know how this band went right over me all this time.

Royal Headache | High

Discovered this record today, listened to it 4 times back to back already, and now it's added to my "Wantlist" on Discogs. It's one of the best Australian garage records I've ever listened too.
