Hmmm if we're naming great metal bands of the past decade I think we should drop Deafheaven too even though they only have two albums and one is only decent (while the other is incredible)

I dig me some Sun O))) but they're kind of different enough genres that it's hard to compare them for me at least

Still, as far as best metal goes (modern and otherwise), Sunn O)))'s probably my favourite.

I love Sacred White Noise, one of my favourite albums of last year. I hear where you're coming from with the falling endlessly, but I'd describe it more as being lost in a haunted house of mirrors.

Amazing drone album from a buddy of mine. This is one of his sleepier albums I guess you could say, but it's a very fine experience that a whole bunch of you would enjoy
