Various Artists - Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number I've not played this game yet, but this is a great soundtrack so far. 49 tracks, and probably about three hours in length. But it's not getting boring yet. Plenty of variety - including synthwave, chiptune, electronic industrial and others - and very smooth sequencing up to this point.

For whatever reason, something finally clicked with the Stones. "You Can't Always Get What You Want" might be my new favourite song by them.

Sons of Radul - Use Bleach Pretty sweet industrial noise project from San Diego. It has one of the main players from Gunther's Grass, who I've posted about a few times here. This is pretty different from the oriental drones that group makes since it uses electronic instead of analog instruments. Worth checking out.

SAINT PEPSI - Hit Vibes (2013) One of the very best Future-Funk/Vaporwave albums I've ever heard. Super up beat at times, with a nice balance of spacey vaporwave elements and grooves. Check it out if you're looking to get into the genre(s), and even if you enjoy straight up soulful and funky disco stuff.

Went back and listened to The Blackening because I rec'd it to Trollheart and then I realized I hadn't even heard Machine Head's newest album It's fucking sick. Greatest modern metal band out there bros

That is quite the statement. I'll have to give it a listen now.

I done heard it already and it's a good album. Two tracks into Bloodstone and Diamonds, it's decent but best modern metal? Now that's just outright crazy talk.

Not solely based on that album but when taking their entire body of work from 2003-today I personally haven't heard a metal band that's consistently better

Thantifaxath, Thou, The Body, Liturgy, Gorguts, and Ulcerate for starters. Machine Head's a good group, but they don't hold a candle to those groups imo. Thantifaxath only has one album, so maybe it's a little bit unfair to name drop them, but their album is amazing enough to be mentioned.
