Thanks. It's on a station in a progressive, art-heavy city in New Mexico.
Only 10,000 people, but they have around 30 art galleries.
The times that it's on has been sporadic (hence: "Random Radio"),
but it may be getting a regular Friday night slot. We'll see what developes.
Good to get back into it. I used to do this, mostly in Chicago, for 13 years.
For about a dozen years, I used to stream straight from my desktop,
but I'm doing some special weeding thru stuff on many TB of discs in
order to clean things up before I get back to doing that again - probably
this summer. Thru the letter "L" right now (plus adding new releases, etc.)

Kelly Lee Owens - Kelly Lee Owens (2017)
A dreamy, chilled and laid-back collision of art-pop and ambient techno. What's not to love?

岡部啓一 [Keiichi Okabe], 帆足圭吾 [Keigo Hoashi], 高橋邦幸 [Kuniyuki Takahashi] & 瀬尾祥太郎 [Syotarou Seo] - NieR:Automata Original Soundtrack (2017)

Ambient/classical soundtrack. I've not played the game but I can dig this so far. It's a huge amount of music to get through.

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN. (2017)

I've probably listened to this album at least 10 times since it released. It's so ****ing good.

And it's easily linked to your Last.fm account.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 04-16-2017 09:27 PM

could be wrong here but i'm quite sure your last.fm links to the account not the device so bad excuse

Key 04-16-2017 09:54 PM

It doesn't actually. It's linked on my desktop site but not on my phone. Try again.

I'm just saying you can easily link it to your phone.

Key 04-16-2017 10:04 PM

I didn't day I couldn't. You guys are questioning why my kendrick listening doesn't look accurate. I'm just explaining why.

Exo 04-16-2017 10:06 PM

Qwerty is taking the attack position here. I'm just wondering why you don't link your phone to last.fm. Don't you want accurate stats? Geeezzz....

Key 04-16-2017 10:07 PM

Just laziness. Sorry.

Anteater 04-16-2017 10:09 PM

Well, another genius bites the dust. Rest in peace Allan Holdsworth. :(

Ghostpoet - Peanut Butter Blues and Melancholy Jam

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...tpoetpbbmj.jpg

this is one of the best hip-hop albums i've found in quite some time. it's a brilliant blend of abstract hip-hop, trip-hop, ambient, and some other stuff that someone with more of an electronic background than myself could probably distinguish. this reminds me a lot of Rome Fortune's last full-length, which I loved, except this is put together much better.

Frownland 04-17-2017 11:11 AM

That is a damn excellent album. I think of him as a modern Gil Scott-Heron. Have you heard I'm New Here?

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 04-17-2017 11:12 AM

i'm like 99% sure you played me a song from it in plug/dub once and told me to check it out. still haven't done so but i have it downloaded, will give it a go.

welp, that was brilliant. thanks for the rec, i'll definitely be keeping this on regular rotation over the new little bit.

kibbeh 04-17-2017 01:37 PM

anybody listened to the new joey bada$$?

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 04-17-2017 01:41 PM

yeah, i did. i thought it was ok but it kinda feels like he's just saying the same thing on every track. i really dug the production though.

Justthefacts 04-17-2017 05:09 PM

Your Old Droog - Packs (2017)

This is one of the best albums released this year, and probably my favourite Hip Hop album.

This shit bang.

I was a little sceptical about this one as they look a bit of a turn to the electronic stuff but as usual, they never disappoint.
Great blend of Electronic, dance, Jazz fusion, acid, funk, soul, disco etc

Cool to see more influence of genre working for a bands growth of sound

City & Colour - If I Should Go Before You (2015)

This is quite possibly the best City & Colour album released to date. And he's had some damn good albums. (again, don't be fooled by my last.fm. i listen on my phone mostly.)
