I am currently enjoying two albums that sit at either end of the rock spectrum: the first is Dead Man's Party by Oingo Boingo and the other is The Arockalypse by Lordi.... and I'm lovoin' both of 'em!

Classic covers album of stuff like Cryptic Slaughter, Discharge, Attitude Adjustment etc. It's been a while since i've heard this baby. Can't beat a bit of noise now and again. |
Popol Vuh - Nosferatu (1978)
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_w-u62XGbbZ...Nosferatu.jpeg Awesome German soundtrack from an awesome band. Uses loops and synth very effectively. Has a lot of Eastern folk influences. Old Man Gloom - Christmas (2004) http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P...1.LZZZZZZZ.jpg Drone/doom metal side project of Isis frontman. One of the best post-metal albums I've listened to and one certainly interesting enough to check out yourself. Lilys - Everything Wrong Is Imaginary (2006) http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...ng_article.jpg Feckin' sweet album that sounds like a cross between British Sea Power and Spacemen 3. This dude can play music. Nico - The Marble Index (1969) http://agingsnob.files.wordpress.com...-frontblog.jpg I've never really been a fan of Nico's singing (or her music with the VU, for that matter), but this record is a glorious soundscape composed with classical and folk roots. |
