Fuck the new single(s), I want a new Thom album. Will the two new songs be in electronica style like that of the Eraser was? I know Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses was the original name for Reckoner, back when Reckoner sucked, so I hope that's all they have in common. And what of Present Tense? Is that the new song for Twilight, a b side, or just another 'shelf' song like Follow Me Around?

I'm sure I've seen a YouTube video of Present Tense live, it's an acoustic number if I remember.

Here's something for fans of Space Ghost, Yorke, and Bjork.

I think it's interesting you chose one of their lesser known albums as your first. Most people would've got the Bends or OK Computer maybe even In Rainbows, but you got one of their 'stranger' albums and still enjoyed it, kudos.

Anyway Thom's new single is really amazing. Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses has this great repetitive bass line that could be his best since the National Anthem. The track is abit trippy and drawn out. Kinda like Autechre on an acid trip. The vocals are cryptic as always and echoed, and the last 2 minutes of it becomes this sweet synth jam. Then there is it's b-side Hollow Earth which is just boring.

I prefer Hollow Earth.

And saying Pulled Apart By Horses is like Autechre on an Acid Trip sounds odd, since your average Autechre song is much, much more 'far out' and bizarre than Pulled Apart By Horses.

The best album to start with is usually The Bends, it's a fairly accessible album and will have you hooked on Radiohead with no escape, it's still my favourite then if you like that move onto OK Computer.
