Thats exactly what I did with mine. Thankfully I started about 2 years ago so i'm almost done now.

I still have about 800 left to do but it's mostly stuff I don't really listen to. I think I can survive not having U2's Achtung Baby , Offspring's Smash & a Poison live album uploaded onto my hard drive.
