Yes. i never understood the deal with him. At first i found him to be mediocre. Now I find him to be very dull. I heard him do a cover of a Kinks song the other day and it was the worst thing I ever heard.

Days, from Kojak Variety? Yeah, that album is awful. So are most of his recent albums.

But his first five albums are classics; so are Imperial Bedroom and Brutal Youth. Look much further past those albums and I'd understand your apathy.

First of all...any band thats a geographical location...

Europe
Asia
Boston
Kansas
Rush
Yes
Chicago
people who think that classic rock is the last era of great music except a few rip-off radio songs that have came out in the last 10 years.
about 99% of metal
U2
coldplay
post-pinkerton weezer
all hair metal
guns n roses
korn
limp bizkit
kiss
marilyn manson
all nu metal
all post-grunge (butt-rock/dudecore)
all grunge besides nirvana
anything self labeled "punk" released after 1979 that isn't hardcore punk
rancid
reel big fish
nofx
SO MUCH MORE

Someone said on another thread that being dismissive of whole genres is stupid, and I agreed with it until I remembered hair metal and butt-rock and nu-metal.

Im also going to add 'people who dont research albums before they buy them'

Like if someone decides to check out sonic youth after hearing of them, and rather than taking 5minutes to look on websites and realize anything between 'sister' and 'dirty' is their prime, 'daydream' considered their best, they blindly pick up some 5 song ep where each song is 20 minutes of thurston rubbing a corkscrew against his guitar turned up to 11 while jumping on top of a dryer, and then state their 'well-informed' opinion of sonic youth every time it comes up with "theyre boring. I gave them a listen, I just didnt like it."
