Misfits should'nt have come back in '95 to begin with. They should've stopped after Danzig.

Christ Illusion is a stunning album from Slayer that was only a couple of years back and I thought that there was some really good moments on The Cure's 'Wild Mood Swings'.

I find for the most part, bands have 3 albums worth of great material in them. There are obviously exceptions, bands who have more than one album worth, only one album worth, etc., but the three album rule works really well. Keep in mind too that they might have three great albums, and the rest good but not close to those three.

I agree, but they're are not always the band's first three albums.

True, I find Sonic Youth's first of their three immaculate albums to be 'Sister' which is something like their 5th release.

I'd say the most common is the first three albums though.

There were good moments, I quite like the stuff the cure have done since disintegration....its just average by comparison.

Every time he comes out with a new album it's always 'This is his best since Scary Monsters'. But never 'Better than Scary Monsters'

'Arsh but true

Don't get me wrong, I quite liked Bastards, Orgasmatron wasn't half bad, and their recent albums have been okay, and its not like Motorhead were EVER planning to change drastically, but they never quite reached the heights after IF... Quite liked 1916 as well...
