Sorry :(

In my industry (pop film music) the Fray is a shining example of how to get your music on TV.

Double X 03-03-2009 05:53 PM

I saw one of their songs on scrubs and I got an album. I know I shouldn't like them (just how I like Keane), they never take risks but I just like it.

someonecompletelyrandom 03-03-2009 05:54 PM

Yeah they have done songs for Lost, Greys Anatomy and a couple of other shows. They really are perfect at what they do.

Surell 03-03-2009 09:10 PM

I do like the Stanky Leg song.

Whoa, you're in the film industry? Are you a musician or what?

Yeah I'm what they call a "stock musician". Filmmakers request music or buy a song from my library. Its a pretty sweet gig.

HolidayG1 03-05-2009 08:09 PM

I can't imagine anyone thinking Prince could be a "musical secret." His more recent material may not be as classic as some of his best, but he's done enough great music to go down as one of the best makle artists of all time.

Shoe 03-05-2009 08:21 PM

Oh, I know my deepest music secret. And its pretty bad...
(Brace for impact)

I've never been to a concert. Not kidding.

Green Day got me into music, no joking.

gunnels 04-15-2009 06:31 PM

's OK, Sum 41 got me into music. :(

FaSho 04-15-2009 08:19 PM

Both got me into music.

sometimes when I'm alone I'll listen to the B-52's a little...just a little...but nobody seems to understand; not quite sure I do myself.

LoathsomePete 04-16-2009 12:31 PM

My love of the Barenaked Ladies has made me the butt end of some jokes from some of my metal friends. By metal I mean the music, not like... suits of armor... although...

I love Richard Marx's greatest hits album. It's nostalgia city for me and I will always have it. : x

This is shocking.

LoathsomePete 04-16-2009 12:55 PM

while I'll admit that BNL do write some pretty crappy pop songs, they also have a darker side that the general public doesn't know about. For example here's the lyrics to their songs "Bank Job" off the album "Barenaked Ladies Are Me"

It was an upset
In two minutes flat
We're back on the freeway
Foot to the mat
I can't understand it
We had it down pat
It's very upsetting
Could we leave it at that
We all had positions
We each had a role
We'd overrehearsed it
We had full control
They can't teach you acting
It's there in your soul
It's the same with a bank job
And each thing we stole

So I don't need attitude
Cause you knew just what to do
We all did our best now
We all need to rest now
Leave me alone
And wait by the phone

I was the driver
You ran the show
You had the last word
The go or no go
I knew every laneway
In Ontario
But it's not what you're sure of
It's what you don't know
It should have been filled with
The usual ones
Throwing their cash in
To mutual funds
We all had our ski masks
And sawed off shotguns
But how do you plan for
A bank full of nuns
But I guess we panicked
We all have taboos
And they were like zebras
They had us confused
We should be in condos
With oceanfront views
Instead we're most wanted
On the 6 o'clock news

So, I don't need attitude
'Cause you knew just what to do
We all did our best now
we all need to rest now
Leave me alone
And wait by the phone

Inside the police car
You tried to explain
Your crisis of conscience
The voice in your brain
And now that the whole thing
Has gone down the drain
I think we all know who
Should shoulder the blame
'Cause you made a choice there
Almost sublime
I'm all for compassion
Just not on my dime
You look like an amateur
And that's the real crime
So I'll take a walk now
And you do the time

And I don't need attitude
'Cause you knew just what to do
We all did our best now
We all need to rest now
Leave me alone
There's no need to phone

We all did our best now
We all need to rest now
Leave me alone
We all did our best now
We all need to rest now
Leave me alone

I caught him live many a long year ago but that is no secret. I am happy to tell anyone that cares.

1. The first album that was ever truly mine was the Savage Garden debut. I was 5 and I played it every day on the way to school, I loved it.

2. Also around that time I had just discovered the movie Oliver and Company and had begged for the soundtrack, again it was played almost every day.

3. Two years ago I went to a Gwen Stefani show and I swear it was actually a very fun show.

4. As of now I'm obsessed with doo-wop.

5. I truly believe "What You Know" by T.I. is a great song.

I love doo-wop! What's some of the stuff you've been getting into lately?

Nooooooooooooooo!

You should never share that dark of a secret.
I used to ride to school with this chick who played that damn album every day to and from for the entire year. It was like being tortured, only worse.

Lately I've been listening to The Cleftones, Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Penguins, The Clovers, The Jaguars, Earl Lewis & The Channels. Got any recommendations for me?

I know it's horrible! I cannot figure why I loved it so much. This at the time Britney Spears was getting big and the girls at school had a crush had a crush on Justin Timeberlake. Instead I listened to Savage Garden :(

glutoro 04-17-2009 10:19 AM

I own All for Ones hit album that had "I swear" which went on to be everyones wedding song for that year. Awesome. And I also have me and an friend singing it on tape when it came out.

You did know there was other music out there, right? ;)

ElephantSack 04-17-2009 06:59 PM

I remember when "Livin' La Vida Loca" came out, I saw the video at home and thought it wasn't bad. I was 11 or so.

charlie.w 04-17-2009 09:37 PM

My secret is that I've only really gotten into music quite recently. I feel a little nauseated when I think of all the years lost. I have so much catching up to do.

scottsy 04-17-2009 10:20 PM

My secret is that I have fallen into a bit of favorite bands conly type rut... only being able to afford a certain amount of music and only having limited time to enjoy can do that to ya... but I have been trying to think out of the box lately...

Thrice 04-17-2009 10:25 PM

Hmmmm...
I like to masturbate to Mindless Self Indulgence.
No really though, I dont have a deep music secret, if people have a negative opinion of what I listen to or listened to they can go **** themselves. I'll go **** myself for even mentioning MSI though, worst band ever.
Maybe the fact I still get ripped and listen to Simon and Garfunkel might be a secret because I dont put it out there too much?

hoorayforpeepee 02-01-2010 04:13 AM

I like Shakira, Kylie Minogue, Sugababes and Atomic Kitten (I have about 5-10 songs with each). And some 90s Eurotrash songs, and a lot of 80s one hit wonders. There, it's out :p

James 02-01-2010 12:16 PM

I like the Numa Numa song *cries*

CanwllCorfe 02-01-2010 12:22 PM

I listen to Depressive/Suicidal Black Metal

Well.. that's already known but I don't tend to tell anyone when they ask what music I like. For someone that's used to Pop, Indie Rock, and Hip Hop.. even the name of the genre seems to warrant a "what the **** is wrong with you"

FETCHER. 02-01-2010 12:56 PM

The first concert I ever went to was Blue at the SECC in Glasgow :o:

Petula07 02-01-2010 12:58 PM

I admit some my artists in my library can be awful for lot of people but... it's not my problem.
And taste is subjective - I bet we can find lot of artists which are loved and hated by many people.

Ok, I admit like a teenager I liked one album of Britney Spears :D Now I am really not able to listen to it but I know some people who still like it and I don't judge them.

And I still listen to some siblings (Jimmy, Patricia, Angelo) of former The Kelly Family :stupid: Yeah, that's maybe my biggest "secret" but actually it's not a secret - you can see it everywhere (Last.fm, Youtube, MySpace).
Hehe, now you can hate me :p:

stormjh 02-01-2010 01:02 PM

I'm 19 years old and sometimes still listen to metal.
