I've been doing these for 3 days now and I just did Pot and I swear it's working so great right now. I don't know if it's a placebo and don't care - anything that makes me feel like this I'm endorsing! GO I-DOSER GO!!

Also I LOVE JAZZ!

Everybody is just as divided about this stuff, man. Every thing I looked up had half the people saying it works and half saying it didn't. They didn't do anything for me at first but then they really started working... to be honest I don't give a crap about how it works or even if they intended it to work this way but I feel so fantastic right now I sdopfuihjimvipio FOCK!

I could obviously speculate that it was a placebo effect but either way I found the experience enjoyable. This sample starts with a 20Hz beat, gradually slows down to btwn. 7 and 8 Hz and then gradually speeds back up to 16hz.

As the beats slowed down, I found body warming up. I was still the whole time, lying face up on my bed. My body may have just been heating up but my heart rate increased a little and I had a euphoric feeling that increased as time went on. As the beating speed began to increase again there was a very noticeable difference in my brain activity. I didn't hallucinate in any way but my imagination began to run far more wild. This is not an uncommon thing for me when I am resting but the changing of speeds definitely seemed to act as a catalyst. I also had a very different perception of time as the increase from 8 Hz to 16 felt like at least a third of the process when in reality it was only 5 of 30 minutes.

Overall: I think that the "dose" acted as a good form of assisted meditation and I appreciated the affect it had on me, placebo or not. I'm going to try another "dose" and see what the results are. I was definitely pleasantly surprised. The Wikipedia article cleared up some questions I had, but as always Wikipedia is sketchy at best.

Binaural beats - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I remember my first "Introduction to Sound" course. The teacher came with an oscilloscope (donno what it's called specifically) to let us hear the different frequencies. He showed us the limits of our hearing as usual. Then he just went from 20Hz to 2kHz in 2 seconds and then back to 20Hz at the same speed, like to end the thing. And I remember feeling extremely nauseous instantly. It was like my mind is closing on itself in a really nightmarish way (during these brief 4 seconds) but man that nausea was really ugly the next hours.

So I do believe frequencies can get to you. So maybe different orders have different effects. I still haven't tried any, as it's the first time I hear about it. I think I'll give it a listen pretty soon, I'm really curious about these things.

The most important thing to remember, NumberNine... is that the effects of these doses only work if you are concentrating on them. It's almost like assisted like meditation. It sounds like you may be sensitive to these, I'd give it a shot (three or four shots actually, sometimes you have to get used to it).

I'd reccommend starting out with Content or CalmMe, than moving on to Pot. Don't try any of the harder ones until you've got the milder ones down.

I'm so excited about this now because today was my first really good dose.

I usually get real weird when I'm in the dark alone, images in my head get a bit crazy. It should be great mixing sound with it. Thanks for the recommendations, they do seem interesting.

I would like to apologize for my previous posts up there... but I mean it kind of proves to me in retrospect that I was definetly buzzed.

To me, it just seems too much like they are trying to sell placebo. All the tips they give you - relax, concentrate, believe, don't be distracted - are things that should help give you a placebo effect. Doing all that and concentrating on sound should also likely have a meditative effect and for those who have tried that will know that a certain feel of tingliness, heaviness and so on, is common when meditating. That along with placebo should all add to the illusion that this stuff works. It's like the perfect scheme.
A placebo only works if the subject has absolute faith in what he's trying. And let me tell you I called bull on this waaay before I tried it, I did it believing it was a placebo, went into it calling bull, and now that I've done three or four doses I can tell you that I don't think it's a placebo but even if it somehow is... I felt fantastic and that's all that matters.

And after doing a little research into Binaural Beats I don't think it's all that far fetched.

I would be sort of afraid to try this out because I do have deppression and might go to a bad place in my mind while trying this out.

I do to but after trying pot I felt fantastic for the whole day even when it wore off... it's nothing but a positive experience as long as you stay away from some of the more... frightening doses.

I tried this last night and just fell asleep last night on the couch and woke up in a weird state of mind until I walked into my room to continue sleeping.
I am still determined to get this to work, I am really curious about hands of god and gates of hades.
