Devendra Banhart - What Will Be
I'm only on the second song, so I'll refrain from an opinion yet. It's got a nice jazzy interlude going on as I type this though, which is pretty cool. EDIT: Got boring pretty fast. Time for some... Timber Timbre! |
Brightens the work day ahah |

One of my favourite live albums, hell, any album. Great layed back music with a great chilled out band. Lots of banter as well, Tom Waits at his best. |
I frickin love this band, especially their first album Law. Great post-rock (not the atmospheric kind, the Tortoise kind) with beautiful guitar melodies.
Cougar - Merit |
^ My latest in a long line of musical obsessions. Great, great song this - gotta love that groove! |

Going really oldskool. Sounds a bit stupid on a drizzly Sunday afternoon with a cup of tea, but i always found sets good as background music for work, keeps you awake http://www.127.twistedfrequency.co.u...2026.11.93.mp3 |
That slide down the guitar neck @ 2 mins still gives me goosebumps 20 years later. Did you know that AC/DC are one of the biggest selling bands of all time with sales better than MJ, Mariah Carey etc. Stick that in your fucking pipe! |

Seriously though, for real? That can't be total world sales. |
In 2009 the Recording Industry Association of America upgraded the group's US sales figures from 69 million to 71 million, making AC/DC the fifth-best-selling band in US history and the ninth-best-selling artist, selling more albums than Madonna, Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson.[6] The RIAA also certified Back in Black as double Diamond (20 million) in US sales, and by 2007 the album had sold 22 million copies, which moved it into fifth place.[8]
I had read that they were bigger than these figures! |

With all the crap I've been hearing about pop in the 90s, don't forget stuff like this. If You're Feeling Sinister is definitely one of the best pop albums ever made. And according to wikipedia, AC/DC is 6th in world sales, still well ahead of Madonna and Mariah Carey. They were beaten by The Beatles, Elvis Presley, MJ, ABBA, and Queen. |
