Even though I think its a spoof of Kenny Waynes "While We Cry" I still like listening to it from time to time. Either way they both just incorporated some of Hendrix's best work in their own..... ..version.

Now I'm listening to one of my favorite songs, Eskamon's "Fine Objects." Then I think I'll go back through this thread and listen to more of the songs posted, since most of them I've never heard before.

Eskamon's "Fine Objects" -- mmmm...I love the heaviness, the feeling of shattering and growling, and the weird delicacy of this song, plus the way it incorporates so many different odd sounds that I feel mesh together well. I can listen to it again and again...

The Wonderful World of Ray Charles - 18 Golden Hits

It's Ray and not a group with the same name, in case you're wondering.

good morning Erica

I love this song, its feel good and makes me feel more positive about life when I'm feeling down.

Ay, what it is World
yeah it's me again, back before you, at your mercy
don't bend your knee again, no running from the truth
as much as we pretend, that it aint what it is, than it hits CNN
apologies to my fans and my closest friends, (I'm sorry)
for letting you down, I wont take you down this road again
most of you now saying whatever, here we go again
blogs, radio, and television all going in
I laugh to keep from crying through all of the embarrasment
I gotta say you f-cking haters is hilarious
how dare you sit right there and act as if you holier than thou
point your finger now with me looking down
same clown that was twitpic'ing at my wedding
on the same twitter page disrespecting
wait a second (hold up)
never mind my imperfections this is fact, remember that
no mistakes too great to recover and bounce back

the bolded part really rings true to me

Good morning dj!

Yes, that *is* a very positive, uplifting song! I like the song's message very much, including the line in bold. I feel the song is a good reminder to make amends for wrongs when possible, ask forgiveness if there is nothing one can do to right a wrong, and then move on but still take responsibility for one's actions good and bad. I like being reminded that we are all human and make mistakes we regret but don't have to feel like lowly worms due to that fact.

I also like these lines at the very end: "Hey you can love me or you can leave me, before you judge me, just let me be me, see life ain't easy."

"Hello out there, can you hear me?" Yes!

lol when he says that part "can you hear me?" I feel like he's saying can you understand where I'm coming from. but then again he says it at the beginning so maybe i'm wrong and reading too much into it.

here is another positive uplifting one I like to listen to when i'm down.

one of my favorite parts is when he says it's not about how you fall but how and when you get back up.
