Of Montreal and Olivia Tremor Control are pretty cool. I've got a soft spot for Apples In Stereo as well. I think they all count anyway - I don't exactly pay a lot of attention to pitchfork.

Fuck Buttons. People are turned off by the noise but under the surface are some gorgeous soundscapes.

Street Horrrsing was one of my favorite releases last year, I thought it was epic.

I think Japandroids are making a few headlines and I really like them. I am rarely up on really new bands. I usually seem to be a few months behind.

Definitely this. I really liked Street Horrsing, it really was a beautiful album. The screaming makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.

Really? I doubt youd find the old PF reviewing Terrors latest effort.

I've actually come back around to liking The Strokes. When they first emerged on this side of the pond like everyone else i thought they were the coolest band ever, and Is This It? was on constant rotation on my stereo. I eventually grew sick of them and at the same time i was going off on a bit of a metal tangent. But in recent years i've been getting more and more into indie and i've found myself listening to them again. If you compare The Strokes to most of the hipster stuff that has followed in this decade i still say they stand head and shoulders above eveyone else and Is This It? will be seen as a classic indie album of this decade.
