Default The Ultimate Collaborative Playlist Thread

I was just sitting here thinking about making playlists and what not for parties or just hanging out with people. It takes forever so I started thinking I should get more people involved. It would also be very interesting to see what kind of playlist comes out and how the music evolves.

Post a song that you think would compliment the song the person above you just posted and keep it flowing like that. Let's get any style or genre. I'll start it off with this song because I just listened to it and I love it.

I was tempted for a sec to be a jack-ass and post some kinda grind stuff with unintelligible screaming after your mellow tune, but I'll give this a shot I guess.

The first good fit I saw while looking through my collection as I listened to your song was this:
Ash - Oh Yeah

Softer sounding pop-punk that even sorta has a similar sounding melody to the one you posted if I listen closely. I could see them being played back to back, maybe even mixed together with a decent effect I think.

Did I do it right? 0_0

Gonna bring it back up a notch, and keep it in the same frame

So that last song was about how he wanted a change from how sh*tty and annoying things were around him (I think). The song I picked is about getting away to peace and quite and things getting better.

All I could find was a live version of this on youtube. This disappointed me at first...but if you just turn it up a bit the quality is seriously not bad at all. Cool, cool chorus in this one:

311 - It's Getting Ok Now (Live)

Edit: The songs aren't too far apart in style either, with 311 having a bit of a harder edge I suppose. Best part is... you can really go so many different ways to follow up 311 in my mind.
