They make mention of that in the article, he notes how Wakeman elected to join Yes instead of Bowie's backing group.

Personally I can see why he chose Yes, lingering under the veil of the Spiders from Mars didn't do Mick Ronson's career any good. And he was a fantastic guitarist, no doubt about it.

I think quite a few of the artists they chose deserve to be on that list, especially overindulgent crap like Iron Butterfly and ELP. But that's just my personal take on it, I didn't write the article.

Don't get the point of it. Whilst the obvious crap bands are there, there's a few genuinely intelligent and creative outifts(Japan,The Doors) who did nothing to merit this.

I bet it was really hard narrowing this list down, although I can think of about 10 artists on the spot who suck much worse than... The Doors.
