I am sure most of you wouldn't agree with me, but I was rather impressed with the cover of "Saturday Night's Alright" by Nickelback and Kid Rock. It was really awesome to hear it done with some heavier drums and bass.

BTBAM "Blackened" >>> Metallica "Blackened"

as a matter of fact, BTBAM outperforms almost all the bands on the songs they re-did for the new album.

Garage Groove inc. did a cover cd on songs by QotSA, and some of them are better than the original. Actually.
