Welcome to the Machine - Shadows Fall
Rusty Cage - Johhny Cash Holy Diver - Kill Switch Engage Imperial March - Metallica White Wedding - Queens of the Stone Age Money - Velvet Revolver Blitzkrieg Bop - Rob Zombie |
Framing hanley's cover of Lil' Wayne's "Lollipop" is really good
Muse's cover of Michael Buble's "Feeling good" is just amazing. also there's Marilyn Manson-"You spin me right round" (original by dead or alive) A day to remember-"Since u been gone" (I personally don't like kelly clarkson) And I like the Vanilla Sky's version of "Umbrella" better than Rihanna's. |
You think "You Spin Me Right Round" is a bad song?
|
I've said it before elsewhere and I'll say it here because, well it suits perfectly...

I know what you mean, though. I like his version as well. If anything, he's just changing it up to his own style. And I can respect artists that aren't afraid to do that. |

Edit: I went to youtube to find a good video of the song to show you. I decided instead to break my computer in half out of frustration because the first comment on Dope's video was "This isn't the original, this song is from the fifties." The internet is too dumb to survive. |
Marilyn Manson did cover the song.

I think Johnny Cash managed to raise "desperado" from the grave.

It's not an actual video of his. Somebody put a bunch of his other videos together. |

Interesting.
Hahaha, I like this comment on the video. Bentleyboy007 (22 hours ago) it´s not dope it´s justin timberlake feat. britney. |
well I have to comment that I disagree with the majority of the posts in this threats...I find the original versions of most songs mentioned better then their covers, and in any case I wouldn't call half of this songs bad...I even saw replies about "Money" and "Welcome to the Machine", which are considered, and are classics.

GoldFingers 99 Red Baloons cover. Its not that the song is originally bad, goldfinger just did it better.

would you count a remix as a cover?
|
She's a talented singer sure but have you actually listened to that song? It takes about 2 minutes for her to get through each syllable at the beginning. And that's as far as I can get...
|
No doubt she's a great singer but that doesn't automatically mean she makes good music. That song's just horrible. Talking about overdoing it. She's putting like every singing technique known to man in the first couple of sentences. Annoying as hell.

Hey! Wonderwall is a good song!
And I dislike Ryan Adams cover. So, is that a bad cover of a good song? |
the clash, junco partner, originaly an old blues song by professer longhair, it's not fair to compare given the decades that seperate the songs but the clash really do this justice, for one of punk rocks leading bands to attempt it in the style they did respect!
|
alice russell, singing gnarls barkley's, crazy, i think it's an outstanding cover.
