Great Covers For Otherwise "Awful" Songs
 

I was listening to this song by Jaymes Young and could not figure out where I heard it from at first--but then it dawned on me that this his song "What is Love?" is a blatant cover of Haddaway. Now Haddaway's original is not my cup of tea--and not because of all the "owhoo whoooh whoaaa ohh" 's in the song. But it got me to thinking, if others had covers in their libraries, for songs that otherwise would not have made the cut, if left up to the original artists.

I love every song on Undisputed Attitude except the final, only non-cover gawdawful song, forget the name. I posted the Dr. Know cover from that album earler in the thread, in honor of the sad passing of Jeff Hanneman

I discovered Dr.Know because of that album. It's a good band ^.^.
I think I'm one of the few that actually loves undisputed attitude, it gets a lot of hate.

cause the tetris one is better to me than the original one.

The Jay reatard one is.. on par with the original.
the original has better vocals but i prefer Jay's music arrangement of the song, he makes it more haunting.

The original is probably better but i like Jay's cover almost equally.

being that that song is up there as a favorite from Nirvana....and honestly mainly due to the music itself....guitar in particular

i mean the Jay Retard one was interesting for sure and obviously done with heart....but it's missing that sloppy goodness

Mine too i luv that song and i think that's why i like jay's cover so much because it puts a different spin on the song which i find refreshing.
maybe it's not better than the original but just a really decent cover.
